Special Note: In the week leading up to our annual Homecoming on October 10, 2010 an additional $250,000 was given. This contribution will allow us to immediately commence with construction of Phase II. Anticipated occupancy will be in the March 2011 timeframe.

Our Vision
Our vision in undertaking this project is clear. We want to glorify God and be a part of reaching our community and our world for the Lord Jesus Christ. We worship the one True God. We build and equip His servants for ministry. We reach those around us with the gospel. We impact others through local church activities and worldwide missions. We accept the challenges of growth and make plans to minister to and accommodate those the Lord adds to our church body.
Ministry at New Sandy Creek Baptist church takes many forms as it adds direction and depth to the lives of our members and to the community. God has blessed us with wonderful facilities, but as we reach toward tomorrow in loving response to what God has planned for New Sandy Creek Baptist Church, we rededicate ourselves to building in God’s love.
The Education Ministry will continue to be a critical emphasis for the spiritual growth of our members as well as enhancing our ability to attract new members. New Sandy Creek Baptist Church will need adequate space to accommodate the future needs of the children and adult ministries.
The Youth Ministry at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church is one of the fastest growing and most vibrant ministries of the church. An effective youth ministry today requires a space that is dedicated to youth and provides an attractive and appropriate place for socialization, large group activities, easy access to recreational facilities, and ample room for growing Sunday School classes. The space needs to be a place where young people want to be – to provide a healthy and spiritual alternative to the numerous other options that pull them in unhealthy and unspiritual directions. The Family Life Center will provide an ideal environment for our youth ministry to thrive.
The Music Ministry has always been an important part of the New Sandy Creek worship service experience. The trend in Baptist churches is for music to play an ever-increasing role in creating a meaningful worship service and to provide a vehicle for adults, youth and children to participate in choirs and other music groups. As our Music Ministry has grown, the rehearsal and storage space has already become inadequate. Future growth will make this problem more significant, possibly limiting the participation by some in the music ministry. Expanding our Music Ministry into Drama production will be a wonderfully spiritual way of enhancing our worship services.
Just as Nehemiah, a sojourner in a foreign land, courageously obeyed God’s direction to return to Jerusalem and lead his people in rebuilding the walls around the city, we are led by God’s Spirit to reach toward the future of our ministry at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church and to do God’s work among the people of Henderson and Vance County.
