Baptist Men |
Realizing that the mission field begins in our homes and extends to "the ends of the earth," the Baptist Men serve our Lord through the many opportunities He makes available for us. Our Service literally begins right at home where we recognize our God-given responsibilities to be the spiritual leaders of our families. Beginning there, we strive to meet the ministry needs of our families, our church family and our community. Our men also participate in associational, state, national and international ministries. Projects include a periodic associational Medical-Dental Ministry and Disaster Relief and Recovery efforts conducted through North Carolina Baptist Men and the North American Mission Board. Our men also seek ways to partner with the North American Mission Board and International Mission Board to identify and participate in short term missions projects. The New Sandy Creek Baptist Men meet on the first Sunday of every month at 7:30 in the church fellowship hall. The men enjoy a great time of fellowship, a home cooked breakfast, and are challenged to be more missions and ministry focused during a time of devotion. Meetings are concluded with a time of sharing prayer concerns and praises. Throughout the year the Baptist Men sponsor fellowship events such as an annual Baptist Men's Banquet and a Fish Fry event. One of the highlights of the year is Baptist Men’s Day, when the men plan and lead worship services, normally on the last Sunday in January. We welcome all men who have a desire to grow in their walk with the Lord, and who take seriously His call on our lives to be the spiritual leaders of our families and His Church. |
